Graduate Diploma in Nursing

The Graduate Diploma in nursing program is designed to upgrade internationally educated nurses’ skills to meet Canadian standards in nursing. This program is a review of the knowledge and skills the internationally educated nurses acquire in their basic education and work place experience. This program will also prepare foreign trained nurses for NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN exam. The duration of this program is 11 months. 

NCLEX-RN Exam: In order to write NCLEX-RN examination you need to have eligibility letter from one of the provinces in Canada. We strongly advise you that you apply for registration for internationally educated nurses for eligibility. You MUST meet the IELTS requirement and all the other requirements for the province you apply for registration.


·       Must have Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing or General Nursing Midwives (GNM) diploma

·       Must be registered nurse in their country of origin

·       Entrance test, phone interview or IELTS 6.5 overall

·       To appear for NCLEX – RN, the international educated nurses need to have IELTS of 7.0 bands


Registration Fee: $200 non refundable


Program Fee:

The fees are $14,000 for international students. Our students however get a scholarship of $ 2,000 and they pay total fees of $ 12,000 only


Text books: $1650

Lab Fee: $ 550


Stay back and temporary work permit

As the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) is predicting a continued shortage of nurses in the future, nursing jobs in the country are more plentiful than ever. Internationally educated nurses may apply to work temporarily in Canada. Temporary residency for foreign trained nurses may be achieved if the applicant secures a valid job offer and subsequently, a work permit. To achieve this, the internationally educated nurses should complete the NCLEX-RN.

Staying in Canada permanently

If you want to make Canada your permanent home, there are a number of ways to apply. In most cases, you will not need to leave Canada.

Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class makes it easier and more convenient for international students to apply for permanent resident status in Canada. If you have graduated from a post-secondary program at an eligible institution in Canada, and you have at least one year of work experience in Canada in a managerial, professional, technical or trade occupation after graduation, you may be eligible.

Canadian Experience Class selection criteria


  • To qualify under the Canadian Experience Class, the candidate must
  • plan to live outside the province of Quebec,
  • have at least 12 months of full time (or the equivalent in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada with the proper authorization in the three years before they apply, and
  • meet the required language levels needed for the job for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension).
